About PeteyC

Peter’s primary passion is playing horn in the orchestra. He held the 3rd horn chair with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra for the 2019/2020 season. He has performed with such ensembles as the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, l'Orchestre Métropolitain, the Edmonton Pops Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra of Canada, National Academy Orchestra (Canada) and the Royal Canadian Artillery Band.

Peter received his masters in horn performance from the University of McGill, studying with John Zirbel, his bachelors degree in music from the University of Alberta with Allene Hackleman, and owes his first studies on horn to Mary Fearon at Alberta College.

Currently based in Edmonton, Alberta, Peter is an active freelance musician, teacher, arranger, and treasurer for the Edmonton Pops Orchestra. He also loves to dabble in songwriting and rock and roll. His band Showbiz released their debut album in December of 2019, and you can hear some of Peter’s personal arrangements and creations that he shares on Youtube.
